	A thorough examination by an eye doctor is the best way to determine if you have macular degeneration, or if you are at risk for developing the condition.

	In some cases, the eye doctor may recommend an aditional test called angiography. This simple procedure gives your doctor additional information that may help to diagnose and treat disorders of the retina.
	The Amsler grid is a simple exercise that allows you to monitor any changes in your vision. It is recommended that people with macular degeneration test their eyes with the Amsler grid several times a week.
