Resveratrol, a compound found in red wine, hinders the new blood vessel growth of pathogens in the eye, according to a report from Washington University School of Medicine. Dr. Rajendra S. Apte, conductor of this study, found they could actually reverse the angiogenesis blocking effect with certain inhibitors.
